The purpose of a uniform is to identify and protect the user. In most cases, the uniform is required as part of membership of an organisation. For example, a soldier or any serving military personnel including engineers are required to wear a special kind of uniform meant for protection while on duty - the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Failure to wear the protective uniform could expose the member to unnecessary danger. Likewise, as soldiers of Christ, we are admonished to always put on the whole armour of God .
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. The whole armour of God is our spiritual PPE and it is the winning uniform. As most of us are aware of the Christian armour and their respective usages, this message intends to explain how to effectively wear and apply the winning uniform. Remember: You are only ‘free’ by the truth you know and apply. Knowing is not enough, but knowledge and it’s application is essential to win in life. Thus, be intentional to know the Word of God and actively apply it to your daily lifestyle. Watch the full message below. God bless you! |
