Pastor Owolabi Mebude
Popularly known and called by PLabs is the Youth Pastor of Radical Youth Ministry of God’s Vineyard Church (GVC). Formerly the Assistant Pastor of GVC London, he is now pastoring God’s Vineyard Church Birmingham.
‘Labi Mebude came to Nottingham in 2006 to study Bio-Medical Science at Nottingham Trent University and graduated in 2010 with B.Sc (Honours). He joined God’s Vineyard Church through a close friend of his, Lola Ogunbadejo in October 2006. ‘Labi committed his life to God through the Radical Youth in April 2007 and served in GVC choir for 3years. He eventually became the inaugural President of Nottingham Trent University Radical Youth (known as Trentside) in 2008 and served for two years.
‘Labi’s outstanding commitment to God led to his ordination as a minister in God’s Vineyard Ministries on the 22nd day of March 2009. Following his graduation, he took up an appointment as a full time Minister in GVC with special jurisdiction as the Youth Pastor; directly overseeing the Radical Youth Fellowship, which has since spread into 26 universities nationwide. He was ordained on Sunday the 11th of March 2012 as an Assistant Pastor in the Ministry. On the 12th of March 2017, he was appointed to become a Pastor with the ministry.
Plabs holds a First degree in Biomedical Sciences, Diploma in Theology & Biblical Studies. He is an on-going learner and have attended a few number of Charity related training in God’s Vineyard Ministries.
