The Power of Faith

The power of your faith lies in the object of your faith.

Faith is the measure of our relationship with God and it unlocks the door of answered prayers whenever we utilise its power. The power of faith is infinite. 

Whenever we pray to God, we just said; Abba Father, I put my trust in you, in your power and ability to attend to this matter. The Bible says in Hebrews 11 verse 6 that "without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him". Prayer takes us including our needs to God, but a key element of Faith is required to receive the expected answers.

Unfortunately, so many people are willing to pray, but only a few truly trust God for the answers especially on big requests. ​

By literal definition, power is the ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way. Power also means the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behaviour of others or the course of events.

Power confers authority on its bearer. Power brings dependency on a higher authority. When you trust in God, you receive the power of God via His word. Using the diagrams below, the time taken on a task or spent with someone determines how better or closer you get with them respectively.

Likewise, the more time spent with God, the greater power you acquire!

All relationship depends on faith, that is, trust in another person. The trusted might not give an absolute assurance that he or she is trustworthy. However, a closer relationship between the trusted and trustee will determine if the trustee can choose to believe in the trusted. THAT IS FAITH!

The book of Hebrews chapter 11 detailed many people who had reason to doubt but chose to live by faith in God.

The power of faith includes:

• Faith Empowers our Spiritual Life – (Romans 4:20-21)
• Faith Trusts – (1 Peter 1:8-9)
• Faith Grows! – (Romans 10:17)
• Faith Defeats Satan’s Schemes! – (Ephesians 6:16)
• Faith Intercedes – (James 5:13-14).
• Faith is the measure of our relationship with God and it is the only measure for it determines everything we believe and do - (Galatians 3:26-27).

To conclude this message, I'd like to encourage you to unleash the power of faith in God. The truth is, God is indisputably powerful and willing to empower us, if ONLY we can trust Him.
