The Undiluted WORD of God

Hypocritical and Coveteous Giving

Hypocritical And Covetous Giving
Sincere giving is essential to life.
Life is about giving and receiving, all with a sincere heart. However, hypocritical and covetous giving is a great hindrance to the Kingdom of God on earth.

In Acts 4 verses 32 to 37, there was such a unity in the church which facilitated flow of the great power and grace of God in their midst.
In contrary, early verses of the following chapter – Acts 5:1-10 narrated a story of hypocritical and covetous giving done by Ananias and his wife Sapphira in the same unified church and the consequence that followed. Immediately that unaccepted giving was spotted and eliminated from the church, there was again the flow of God’s power and grace in a greater dimension.
Acts 5: 12 – 15
12 The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. 13 No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 14 Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 15 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.
Life is about giving and receiving, all with a sincere heart. Classic examples include parents donates reproductive cells to have a new born baby, teachers give to others via teaching and most importantly, God gave us Jesus Christ.

Anywhere there’s no giving, life ceases to exist. Giving opens the door for Holy Spirit to move in the church. Sincere giving is essential to life.
Beware not to be a blackhole in life!!!
Hypocritical and covetous giving blocks the grace of Kingdom giving and hinders the blessings of God in the church.
