As we conclude the series on Giving, I would like to share with you that giving is another way to know God.

Giving could be in terms of skills in services, time as a resources, treasures including money and lots more. Of all these listed forms of giving, a common and most prominent form of giving is money.

Giving is to ‘let go’ of something meaningful in your possession to someone else in need.
Although, money is the lowest form of giving yet it is the most difficult for many. Our sincere giving helps others and also help us to know God more in the journey of life.

2 Corinthians 9:13 "Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else."

Now, our sincere giving should be appropriately done in the secret if possible.
Matthew 6:4 "so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

Giving unto God could be indirect e.g when you help someone in need, you are also supporting the work of God.
35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,[a] you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:35-40

Read also Proverbs 19:17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.

Likewise, whenever you give your talent to God via service which could be in Church or in the community, then your potentials get improved. In contrast, an unused talent will become diminished in the course of time.
Read: The “Parable of the Talents”, in Matthew 25:14–30
2 Corinthians 9:13
Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.
Words of wisdom!
Our skills get better via service to God and humanity.
Giving becomes a worship when we give the right way. So, give rightly!
