Loyalty

Let your loyalty be unto God and unto the person God has appointed over you.

Loyalty means diligence, commitment, reliability to a purpose or good course.

Loyalty attracts blessings, while disloyalty leads to punishment.
A classical example of showing loyalty and respecting our leaders is in Numbers 12 verses 1 to 15.
"And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
2 And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it."

In this nugget culled from the GVC Sunday school, we should always remind ourselves:
  • of the do's and dont's of Loyalty
  • to note the signs of disloyalty
  • to always correct one another in love
  • to stand for the good course of the Lord.
