PURPOSE || Created to love God's family

As God’s masterpiece, the Bible encourages us to ‘pursue love’ [1 Corinthians 14:1a].  In reality, the pursuit of love for God and others should be our highest priority, else purpose cannot be fulfilled.

Earnestly pursue love,......1 Corinthians 14:1a

Understanding the relevance of love for individuals to be fully equipped for every good work designed by the Maker [2Timothy 3 vs 16 -17], we spent quality time in the Sunday school to discuss and learn about practical ways to love GOD and others. Also, we emphasised how to love oneself first which may help individual to truly love others.

The class further reflected on how to be patient and endure shortcomings or weaknesses of other people as main elements of love admonished in 1Corithians 13 vs 4-8

'4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. 6Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. 7It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be restrained; where there is knowledge, it will be dismissed. ' 1Corithians 13 vs 4-8

 Without endurance, our love for God and others may be provoked to faint away especially in unpleasant moments. That said, we are reminded to encourage others and oneself to continuously improve in every good works, making efforts to fulfil our God-given purpose on earth. May GOD help us all in JESUS name. Amen
